An exclusive taste of bold, cutting-edge work from our vibrant creative community, Elevate Cabaret showcases new performances developed by creatives across circus, dance, theatre, music, and more, as part of Vulcana’s annual Incubator program.

Funded by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland’s Queensland Art Showcase Program, Fresh Residents is a new Vulcana initiative giving marginalised circus artists space, funding, mentorship and support to create new performance works. So far, 2026 has seen Fresh Residents selected for Fresh First Nations, Disability, and Youth Arts residencies. Our residents all showcased their work at our Tipping Point Festival. Two more residencies will be completed by year’s end.
Tipping Point Festival 2026

Tipping Point Festival is Vulcana’s one-of-a-kind week-long professional development festival for performing artists. Combining practical workshops, showcase performances, expert-led discussion panels, and inclusive networking events, Tipping Point has been designed to give performing artists of all kinds and experience levels what they need to take the next step in their creative career.
In 2026, Tipping Point was proud to also showcase performances from Vulcana’s Fresh Residents for First Nations, Disability, and Youth Arts. You can see our full 2026 program here.

The Elevate Incubator is a professional development program aiming to nurture emerging and professional performers from circus and other artforms.
In 2026, Elevate Incubator participants will developed their work across nine weeks of supported guidance by artist, performer, and educator Mayu Muto (Polytoxic, Hot Brown Honey).
The collection of new works created in the incubator will be presented at the special Elevate Cabaret – an exclusive taste of bold, cutting-edge work from our vibrant creative community spanning circus, dance, theatre, music, and more.
Cashless & Carefree

Vulcana Arts Hub
Sculpture, dance, poetry, circus, projections. A promenade work. Cashless & Carefree is a groundbreaking multidisciplinary performance project developed in partnership with Vulcana community and a guest community of older women about the care industry, and the role of people of marginalised genders in caring and unpaid work. A pool party, synchronised swimming, sink or swim, women and people of marginalised genders as the body of water expected to hold up the world’s unpaid work while looking effortless and graceful.
