We’re thrilled to announce Bizzi Body as recipient of Vulcana’s inaugural Fresh First Nations residency.
Brilliant, bold and a Blak Camp Feminist icon, Bizzi Body has previously been awarded 2nd Runner Up at the Australian Burlesque Festival’s “New Follies“ competition, “Out for Australia – 30 Under 30” Rising Star Award, and the First Nations Leadership and Engagement Award from the 62nd Annual Queens Ball Awards 2023.

Guided by Fresh Mentors Aurora Liddle-Christie (SOLCHLD) and Lisa Fa’alafi and supported with funding and space from Vulcana, Bizzi‘s residency will explore the history of Blak burlesque and circus and support a new show to put these histories and performers in the spotlight.
Bizzi will share her Fresh new work at Vulcana’s Tipping Point Festival in April!
For further information on Bizzi, Vulcana, or the Fresh residency initiative, feel free to contact MJ O’Neill, Marketing & Fundraising, at marketing[at]vulcana.org.au.
