Vulcana creates compelling circus performance with a great range of artists, from those new to circus, to emerging and highly experienced performers, plus other collaborating communities. The performance work that emerges is experimental and collaborative in a solo or ensemble context with each project drawing on the skills and ideas of the participating artists. Performances are supported by experienced directors, designers, arts-workers, trainers and technicians, according to the needs of the project.
Vulcana creates pathways from learning to creating circus with Showcases, residencies, incubators and other performance opportunities. You can find out more about these opportunities online here as the projects arise and also on our Vulcana’s Facebook and Instagram.

Ongoing Artistic Programs

Tipping Point Cabaret
Tipping Point offers students and emerging artists a platform to present new acts in a supportive environment
Agitate Incubator
Assist at all career stages are assisted to create a new short work. Incorporating a creative intensive, guided rehearsal sessions and public presentation.
Circus in a Tea Cup
Vulcana Circus ensemble members collaborate with survivors of gender-based abuse to tell true stories of recovery, resilience, and triumph.
